Category page showing list of posts? (4 posts)

I'm currently using a private WP blog as a PIM/CMS, and I'd like to change the behaviour of the category page. When clicking a category link in the sidebar, I'd like to see a page with a list of the posts in that category, rather than a page with the *content* of the posts in that category.

Is there any way of doing this? Apologies if it's been asked before; I couldn't find anything with a search here or on the Codex, but I'm not really sure exactly what I'm searching for.

First you would want to create a custom template for that category, or if all categories were to behave in that manor simply a category template.

This page and example should give you a working model for what you would put on that custom template.

Thanks for the links and info, cuz I'm working on the same thing for two of my category pages. I want mine to have a list of the post-titles, in alphabetical order instead of chronological. Kinda wanting to use 2 categories as a database/dictionary instead of a typical blog/journal. Anyone got an example site that is doing this?

Do a search of dictionary/glossary, I know there was someone who had their site set up entirely as an anime glossary. I looked into a script Glossword, and actually have it set up, but haven't played around with integrating the look into my site.
