    Hello all-
I have one category that contains my blog posts. I want to add text to the top of this page. How can I do this? I realize I can check for is_category(), but this is for the actual blog post itself, not the category page containing the blog posts. BTW, my blog page is not my home page nor my front page, so I can't use is_home() or is_front_page().
    Thanks

You will probably need to start customising your theme's template files - possibly via a child theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I am using iThemes Builder (http://ithemes.com). I'm comfortable editing the template files, but I just don't know which one to edit. I was able to edit page.php for pages and single.php for posts. Any idea which template file it would be?

If you want to check that you're on a category page, use is_category(), If you want to check whether a given post is in a specific category, use in_category().

I was confused as to which file to edit, but found out that it was Archive.php. Thanks!
