• Hi guys,

I’m building my first wordpress.org site after a long time using wordpress.com

I’m trying to get Category pages in my main navigation. I tried making a blank page off the dashboard panel and naming it Peace News

However, this creates problems because the system will simply add “/category/peace” to the end of the page you click on, giving you links like “http://test.peacepaint.com/2009/06/12/green/green-jobs-sector-poised-for-explosive-growth/category/peace”

Also, sometimes if I click on “Green News”, it takes me to that category, but sometimes it takes me to the top post of that category.. Strange.

Anyone know a better way I’m missing out on?

  • Get rid of that page and set up specific categories using Admin/Posts/Categories. Then file each of your posts under the correct category. To list all categories, use wp_list_categories.
