• Hello! My first post and my first WordPress blog. I have categorized my posts into categories (ie: Blog, Accolades, Featured). When I view the page will all my blog posts (or the latest ones), the URL string is “domain.com/blog/”. This is working fine.

However, the “older entries” at the bottom of the page which links to the pages of posts before, causes the problem. The first time it appears (which sends the user to page 2 of archived posts), the URL string is “domain.com/blog/page/2” and it doesn’t work. I get a 404 error. If I remove the “/blog” and make the URL string “domain.com/page/2” it works fine.

So, my question is this: Can I keep my category names in the URL strings for uniformity (make the “domain.com/blog/page/2” work and not get a 404)? If not, how do I make the archive links remove the category name so that they appear as “domain.com/page/2”?

Thanks for helping me out. Really puzzling.
