Category Icon Plugin (4 posts)

I am using the Category Icon plugin by Chris Cosentino and I'm wanting to get rid of the icon on the single post page (single.php).

Is there some variable that the plugin can read to just return the plain text without adding the icon if the post is being viewed alone from single.php?

It seems like I should be able to stick a simple if statement in the plugin itself that will bypass the insertion of the category icon. I did that very thing with my pages using if (is_page()) but I don't know which variable would tell the plugin that it's single.php calling the post.

Please post what you did, so anyone else wanting to do this can search and find your post. :)

    I found this page: http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags

It shows the conditional tags. So I just stuck if (is_single) into my plugin to have it return the unaltered content while on the single post page.
