[resolved] Category filtering is not working properly (4 posts)

    Hello Héctor,

Thank you so much for this great plugin.

I have been using it for sometime, but still can't seem to get it to work properly. I'm interested in showing popular posts from specific categories and custom post types, with a limit of 3 posts per category. Currently, it only renders 1 or 2 posts, with the same post showing on both categories, even though I've specified what categories to include/exclude. The display of number of cats would fluctuate daily. Could this be a caching/database error problem?

I would appreciate your help on this.

Here's a link to my website.

    Thanks allot.

    Hi Mina,

Sorry for the late reply. Well, I'd need more info about that. If this post belongs to multiple categories, it'll be displayed in both lists. Say, for example, that a post belongs to category 3 and 4 - making separate lists for both categories would show this specific post even if you exclude the other category on each list.

    Hey Héctor,

    I appreciate your response.

It seems that now the code is able to retrieve the posts from specific categories, but the problem I'm facing is that it would not display the amount of posts I've defined in the code. For example, if I specify limit=3, it will only show the popular three posts for that category ONLY if they were listed as the top three on the wpp_admin general options page (accessed through wordpress).

    Does this make sense?

The list currently show one post only even though I had put 3 for the limit.
If you want to take a look here's a link.

    And this is my code:

    <?php wpp_get_mostpopular('limit=3&range=daily&order_by=views&pages=0&stats_comments=0&post_type=post&cat=37,-38'); ?>

I hope you can get this looked it.

Thanks allot for your time and hard work.

    Hey Mina,

Yes, that's fine. The limit parameter just tells WPP to show up to X posts if available.
