Category File? (6 posts)

I have a number of categories. One of them is "General" (for example's sake)

When I click on "General" I get a list of all the articles that have been saved under that category.

I want to format my category page to look something like this:

Which file do I edit to make these changes? I'm using the benevolence theme.

If I go to my Archives and click on "General" it pulls up a page that has all the posts I've saved under that category.

Here is the address that it grabs: http://www.theirvins.com/index.php?cat=1

This page comes up with the same formatting as any other page. What regulates this? Is it all CSS? Where do I go to change the formatting of this particular page?

    Wading through the muck.

The links are somewhat helpful. Thanks.

With so many new themes, I can see that it's going to be difficult to create a standard. Some themes come with a category.php, others do not. The theme I am using does not.

I wouldn't know where to begin to create a category.php file. Would I use index.php or header.php as a template?
