    Hi there, cool plug-in.

I wanted to segment my image walls by the topic so for example Bedroom, Kitchen, etc.
I tried assigning a ‘Kitchen (All)’ and ‘Bedroom(All)’ category using the ‘Media Library Categories’ plug-in and using the shortcode:
    [image_wall include_categories=”Bedroom(All)” exclude_categories=”Uncategorized, Kitchen (All)” background_color=”grey”]

All of the images in my media library are still showing up.

I tried making a post with only Bedroom items and categorizing it as “Bedroom(All)” but all images are still showing up.

What would be the best way to achieve this?

    Thanks

My plugin doesn’t know anything about your Media Library plugin, so those media library categories won’t do anything.

The include_categories argument only restricts the posts that the Media Library pulls images from.

See the Image Wall Plugin page for more information.

So what would be the simplest way to specify the images that you want to include in the Image Wall? I have tons of images and don’t want them all showing.

    Thanks

I would suggest that you look for a gallery plugin of some sort. The image wall is not meant to be a gallery plugin. It is more like a visual navigation of your blog posts. That is why you have some control over the blog posts you include/exclude on the wall, but not the images.

Closing this as there is no further feedback.
