    Hello!

I´m using wordpress as CMS only for flex frontend portfolio
(lots and lots of imagery). Since he site uses no text content at all, we decided to work only with the attachments.
The problem is: we need to be able to categorize the attachments hierachicaly (categories and sub categories and so on...). I develop in flex/actionscript3. I´m by no means a php dev. (at least not yet, still learning... :). My thought was to put a dropdown with categories and categories childs on the "Edit attachment" page and be able to assign the attachment to the category. If this is the best way to go, is there any hint you could give me to acomplish that?

    many thanks!!

I'm having the same problem. as far as i can tell, attachments don't have categories.

It seems like it should be possible to get the category of the parent. i wish i knew enough php syntax to get this right.

    Hey,

I recently wrote a quick plug-in for categorizing attachments. It's very simple and easy to use.
