Categories to Tags Converter

    Is it safe to say that using the Categories to Tags Converter will create the tags but will not assign them to any posts?

    Is there a tagging plugin that will find relevant tags and apply them to posts?

    Well just for the heck of it I tried it and it does assign the tags to the same posts that are assigned to the categories. I also got the Auto-Tags plugin so that in the future I won’t have to tag the posts at all.

    Well that was nearly disastrous. What the Categories to Tags Converter really does is assign the tags and remove all of the category assignments. Luckily you can covert back the other way. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to do that.
