I recently changed my permalink structure from a
'/p?=123'
to a
'/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/'
Not sure if i missed something, but all my categories in the widget, now point to a "page not found, try using search"
Please help, as the website is currently not working.
After you changed permalinks, did you see a new line of text near top that permalinks have been updated? Windows or Linux server?

Yes, i saw the line. I'm sure the permalink worked for the posts, but categories, even if i type them in a web address bar, don't work.
I changed it back to '/p?=123', and categories, work again.
Please help me to do this, so that i have desired structure, with working categories

Ensure the .htaccess file has the correct permissions to allow WP to write to it..
Searching the forum will turn up bundles of answers, this has been asked time and time again...
