   MY categories won t appear anywhere yet the dashboard says i have 8 of them, I havn't installed anything new recently but i have logged in with the Iphone app for the first time recently.

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

   Yes neither of those suggestions worked

   No i have not solved it. And now everyone of my posts has dissapered.
   As in gone... not even showing they are there. The categories stillsay 9 on dash but none show

   tried repairing my tables all succesful except wp_posts

   I also repaired the tables in phpMyAdmin but didn't work. I have since found out that my server had an outage and issues with MySQL and had to reboot and do a file system check. As all my blogs don't have categories now I presume that it is a database problem but I don't know how to fix it. I hope someone knows a solution. The other problem is that I didnt back up all my blogs only most and that was months ago.
