i finished my site, and i followed the WP instructions to move the blog index.php to the root...so the blog would be shown when the main URL was typed, but the blog files would remain in the sub dir.
anyway, once in the root, the categories links do not work, everything else does. here is the URL. any help would be greatly appreciated. i can't seem to find help on this one.
Did you update your permalink structure.
If that doesn't work, temporarily try renaming your .htaccess file.

i do not have an .htaccess file on my http://FTP...i contacted my service, and they said there is not one. i tried updating permalinks, but no success. any ideas? i can't seem to find any help topics on this problem. thanks

btw, i'm on a windows server.
Do you have more than one index file in your root? If so, rename the one that is not index.php to something else.
Do you have index.php added to the url in Settings/General? If so, remove it.
Not sure this will fix the problem, but may help........

thanks for the help. it's resolved...it was some kind of problem with one of the plugins.
