Categories linked to pages

My site is: dhsfinancial.com

When you click on a top line menu item, it goes to a page with the corresponding posts.

However, my home page circles link to pages, not posts. So I have 2 of the same page, one as a post, and one as a page.

The only reason I do this is because when you click a top line menu item, it goes to that category. That is how the menu is set up in the Spun theme.

Is there a way to have the categories point to pages? Any thoughts on how I can make this better? I really am running the site as a blog in one section, and the other posts don’t fit into the navigation of the blog posts.
