Hello I am hosting a wordpress website and have changed the permalinks to %category%%postname% and it has changed the URL to the way I want it. However I have noticed that no matter what I enter before the post in the %category% spot on the URL it well still go to the page but with an incorrect URL. for example a correct URL on my site may look like this http://www.mysite.com/category/postname but if i make it something different like http://www.mysite.com/somethingelse/postname It'll still find the page but the URL well be different. SO my question really is Well this effect my sitemap or SEO at all, that the URLs can be all messed up?
I hope this makes sense and can get a logical answer thanks in advance.
