I have a category cloud on the sidebar of my blog (capecodbranding.com/blog), and when I click a category it takes me to a white page. Is there an easy fix for this? I'm not overly proficient when it comes to the coding for my blog, but I can usually figure something out with detailed instructions. :)
I've noticed that the theme I'm using (bluebird) does NOT have a categories.php page. Is that maybe the problem?
Thanks in advance!
amy
If you are using WP-Cumulus, then note this on its plugin info page:
Compatible up to: 2.7.1
Check with the plugin author's site for possible fixes or updates in the works.

Ahhh, that is it! Too bad, I really liked that plug-in. Hopefully a fix will be available soon.
Thanks for the info!

Okay... another question. I deleted the category cloud and installed a new category widget. This one still redirects to a blank page. The URL goes to;
http://capecodbranding.com/blog/category/books/
[or whichever category I select; "category/branding/", etc]
Is there a 'category' page that it is trying to find? Is that something I need to set up? I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks,
amy
For the above category page, I get:
500 Internal Server Error
These can be due to a bad .htaccess. Try renaming yours (to disable it). Note: This file is invisible, so you need to set your ftp program to show invisibles. Also see:

Another possibility is a bad plugin, especially a category-related one.
