    Hello,

I have a problem with my categories - when they are clicked I am taken to an error page. I think the same thing is happening when attempting to make comments.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

Your categories are going to this type address,
    http://www.trueparanormal.deb4u.com/wordpress/index.php/category/angels

They should not have index.php in the address line. Under settings, general what do you have for the blog address and the WP address?

Under permalink settings I used a custom structure of:
    /index.php/%postname%.html

    Should I remove the /index.php/ ?

I tried your settings from above and got the same link structure http://www.ourexcellentadventures.com/index.php/throw-away-the-peanut-butter.html which although in my case it works, it is not good. You do not want/need index.php in your permalink or html.

As for the other problem, the 404 on categories. You have some or a redirect going on somewhere. Your blog is at http://trueparanormal.deb4u.com/wordpress/ although that shows a 404 error unless you key in index.php. I suspect this can be corrected in your .htaccess file. You might check Using "Pretty" permalinks and see if that makes any sense to you.

Now I am totally lost! I'm sorry - I'm not a technical person at all.

I'm not an expert, but I just discovered that you must have tags on your posts in order for the category to show anything. In other words, if you have one post in a category, and that post does not have tags, you will get an error when you hit the category.
