Categories don't display with global tables enabled

I have Events Manager 5.5 running on Multisite.

Currently I only have events on the root blog (id=1) but will be enabling Events Manager for some of the subsites soon. I want to have global tables mode enabled.

When I enabled global tables mode, both the widget and the events_list shortcode no longer recognise my categories: i.e. [events_list category=”77″] no longer shows any events, and [events_list category=”-77″] shows all events (including those in category 77). If I disable global tables mode it goes back to behaving itself.

I assume this isn’t the expected behaviour? Am I missing a setting – or is there a bug?

Have you tried adding blog=”1″ to the shortcode?

Yes I have; I should have mentioned that. Unfortunately it makes no difference.

can I know where are you using shortcode [events_list category=”-77″] ? eg. in your subblog

also, -77 means that you are displaying all events Except with those events which uses category 77

The shortcode is used in the root blog (I’m not using events in the subblogs yet, just laying the groundwork). I am also using the widget, and seeing the same problem (again, on the root blog).

-77 is displaying all events including those events which use category 77 when global tables mode is on. That is part of the problem.

can you share us sample link to your site or couple of screenshots for us to see? also, I tried this one and seems to be working fine.

The widget is here http://www.walesdtc.ac.uk/ (there are two widgets – one including the category and one excluding the category) and the shortcode is used here http://www.walesdtc.ac.uk/training/advanced-training-opportunities-across-wales/.

Obviously, global tables mode is switched off!

The problem is you enabled global tables late in the game, any eents you created before won’t work as you expect cross-site. Chances are resaving the event will help.
