   So... I wasn't working on my blog since some days and today I've discovered very strange thing.

   - Whole categories disappear from list.
   - All post are "Without category" and tags.
   - List of categories in admin panel is blank.
   - I can't add any categories, but they are avaiable in "Recent use categories".
   - When I'm trying add new category or add the same it says there is a category with such name. Ghost?
   - Also I can't edit any post to add new or old "ghost" category becouse after edit everything backs to state "without category".

   What the... flock?
   As I said - I don't edit any files, plugins or something. I wasn't working on my blog since one week and this thing appears today.

   I'm having the exact same problem with a couple of websites on the same server. Other non-Wordpress sites are having issues with databse related stuff.

   I would contact your host and tell them about it. It doesn't seem to be a WordPress issue.

   All categories have disappeared although I can see it in DB.

   dont take panic just follow the master list and u will find solution...

   I have exactly the same problem! Besides, it only applies to my tags and not the categories.

   Very annoying and I tried to deactivate my plugins and there are plenty of space in my database. Nothing happend.

   So, what's wrong? I've read the master list, I really don't have a clue to get any further with this problem :(
