PLEASE HELP!
Whenever I try to designate a title to a post it just doesn't "stick".
I can create categories but my posts do not retain the category that I assign to them.
Also, when I assign tags they don't stick either. And, yes, I do hit "update" after I try to add this.
why is this not working? any help is much appreciated.

So you see the post title, and the posts categories and tags when you Edit the post?
If yes, change to the WordPress Default Theme to see if that resolves. If changing themes doesn't resolve, deactivate plugins.

I already tried both. I changed to the wp theme and categories still would not stick. i tried deactivating plugins and that did not work either. any other ideas?

Your database tables are like the tables described in Database Description?
Might want to describe Operating Sytems, web-server, PHP, and MySQL versions.
Any chance of upgrading to 2.7?
