I am unsure what to do. I was updating my categories and pages and suddenly they all disappeared off the header. How can I get them back, especially if I am not great with HTML speak. The guy who looks after blog is unavailable and I am stuck. Any advice tips help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Posted 4 months ago #Thanks a mil for your response, I will try all this now. Deactivating means I will lose FB and twitter likes and shares (tho does that matter!)

Posted 4 months ago #okay so deactivating plugins didn't work. I have to be honest, I am a little scared of trying anything else in case the blog disappears altogether and I don't know how to get it back!! Thanks for help anyway.

Your current theme will not be affected by the theme change. All changes are temporary.
