Catch box resizing issues (7 posts)

    Hi, I am new totally to wordpress and have just built my first site and was drawn to the catch box theme as it was designed to resize automatically when viewed on a smart phone or tablet.

    Unfortunately I have got some issues and when I view the site on an iphone it doesn't resize properly and displays itself smaller than the screen or the images looked 'squashed up'.

    It is affected in both portrait and landscape modes.

    Something clearly isn't right and I am wondering whether I have inadvertently changed or deleted some of the code when customising the template?

    It worked perfectly on iphone when I first built it but now I am becoming increasingly frustrated as this may be putting off potential customers.

    I have the latest versions of wordpress and catchbox installed

    Heres a link

    Can somebody please help me

    Thank you

    Alan

    Try disabling some plugins you probably installed. See if the problem is still there.

    Thanks Peter, I have now disabled a couple of plug ins that were activated but not used so I will see if that has worked (unfortunately I haven't got an iphone and will have to wait until I can get someone else to check) and then if this hasn't resolved this issue I will disable the plug in that is active (a form generator)

    Hi Alan,

    For image problem. Can you add the following css in custom css:

    .entry-content img,
    .comment-content img {
    	height: auto;
    }

    Also you can check the responsive design view on iphone Click Here

    Regards,
    Sakin

    Hi Sakin,

    I added that code to style css but not sure if that was what you meant by the the 'custom' css section?

    despite this the image and youtube clip display are still being 'squashed' on the home page whereas the images on the porfolio page are displayed perfectly...

    Any more ideas?

    Regards

    Alan

    Further to my last I have just googled custom css and downloaded a plug in to allow me to do what you advised and it worked perfectly with the image, thank you. However, the you tube 'window' is still squashed up?

    Hi Alan,

    Then disregard the previous css and add the following css:
    .entry-content img,
    .comment-content img,
    embed,
    iframe,
    object {
    height: auto;
    }

    Also you don't need to install the css plugin. You have that option in Theme Option. There is custom CSS box.

    Regards,
    Sakin
