  • Hi there, I need some help.

I am creating a site that basically has an online catalog(not e-commerce). The site is designed that if you click on a category(from the main navigation eg. pencils), it goes to a grid layout with a picture of the products and some descriptive text.

I want the user to be able to click on the product and a new minimal window opens with a bigger picture and more details about the product.

    Any plugin suggestions or hacks?

  • Try NextGen Gallery. You can organize photos into galleries, and galleries into albums. They can have descriptions that appear in thickbox or another effect. So “pencils” would link to a page with the pencils gallery. You can customize the CSS to display thumbnails the way you want. You could also have an album that contained the pencil gallery and have that thumbnail link to the pencil page.
