I am looking for a plugin that will allow my client to upload and organize his spec sheets (PDF's) and allow his customers to easily find them either by a series of drop downs or links or by creating a filtered photo gallery.
He would like it broken down by brand name, then by specific options, then by model number. Furthermore, he would like to be able to update it himself and he does not have any technical knowledge so he would not be able to create javascript onchange select boxes.
Any suggestions?

Basically I am looking for wp e-commerce without the shopping cart function...
In theory, you could use eShop if you set all products to free downloads.

Technically, that works. However it is way too complicated. I just want the user to be able to click and view the pdf.

I think I am just going to create a series of pages with a list of links on the page.
Check out CataBlog, it lets you create a small to medium size catalog rather easily and integrates with any shopping cart you might want.
Just another shameless plug :)

@ahoffman50 - Did you ever find a plugin or solution? We have a WP client that wants to feature their categories and products, but shopping cart functionality is not needed.
