Catagories / Search Idea..

I’ve got the sidemenu in it’s own .php file which is included in a couple of seperate pages aside from the index.php, but the problem is that catogories and search form don’t work unless on the index.php. Is there a way to fix this? And is this something that will be included in next releases?
