Car Club Going WP in 0-10 seconds!

    Finally got the go ahead to do an URL redirect from [crappy hosting service where domain owner has domain parked] to [wonderful spacious web server space with Fantastico install and all manner of geek toys] so that I can install WordPress and let it run our car club site (http://zcar.org).

    Right now, pitifully, files are scattered between both domains, and the web master has used javascript on the crappy server so we can pull in our header, footer and sidebar text. It’s a mess.

    Plus, because some of the board members who have to update the site with events and monthly President’s messages, and who are not computer or Internet savvy are using Blogger for their bits and portions.

    It’s a patchwork quilt right now but between me and Tristan (Club Web Designer) we are gonna get this WP party started! Stay tuned for announcement of the new WP launch soon.

    P.S. And I could have used TextPattern or PHPWebsite or any other number of other programs that I also use and like, but for this particular site and crowd, WP is practically tailor made!
