   I would like to capture the Contact Us form data- have the data copied into a database that I could then export out to Excel, etc.

   is this a plugin?

   If so, I don't know anything about it specifically, but here's my favourite form plugin
   http://www.deliciousdays.com/cforms-plugin

   in the feature breakdown tab on their site, they say

   Database based tracking of submitted data (XML, CSV, TAB)

   dunno if that helps?

   IIRC, that option is not enabled by default, nor is it immediately obvious as to where it is when looking at the options, but have a dig through and you'll find it.. ;)
