CAPTHA image – more than 4 characters possible? | WordPress.org

I’ve been getting some computer generated spam coming though our contact form (one a day for several days now).

Is there a way to make the CAPTCHA image more like 8 characters to make it harder to crack? If there are others things that I should check to keep the spam emails out then please let me know.

I’ve got the same question. As far as I can tell, another captcha program might well provide more than 4 character capability. <http://www.confidenttechnologies.com/> is an image based alternative that looks pretty good. And, No – I do not work for them. I’m going through their material and so far I’m impressed, although I haven’t found the cost yet.
