Capital letter and parenthesis (4 posts)

    Hello,

    It seems that using a capital letter + parenthesis like
    =DEFINTION(this is my definition)
    will make disapear the text.

    As I have to deal with excel formulas, like
    =DATE(ETC())

    I need to get rid of this function. Generally very usefull, but annoying for me.

    Thank you for any help

    If this is happening in posts, what text formatting plugins do you use? If any, try deactivating it/them to see if it solves the issue.

    Textile was at the origin of this functionnality.
    I deactivated it and it works well.

    Thanks for your answer

    Yeah, Textile has an "acronym" feature which assumes the acronyms will be listed like: AFAIK(As Far As I Know)

    The solution is to use "==" to tell Textile to ignore that content:

    ===DATE(ETC())==
