Is it a bug?

I created an user role called “Manager”, I disable all pods_* capabilities. But the user with Manager role still can see and access Pods Admin menu.

So I one-by-one deleted all capabilities and found the delete_user capability is the capability that make Pods Admin menu show on backend.

Thanks for the information. Hope it can be easier to configure in the plugin next release, for example user can configure it on the setting page.

Hi Scott,

I have a couple of questions;
Let’s consider Handoko’s Manager new user role.

• How can I set that [hide Pods Admin menu from Manager] outside Pods files, so I don’t lose those changes on the next update?

• I want Manager to be able to delete/edit/promote users, but I don’t want him/her to be able to delete/edit/promote an Administrator role. Any suggestion?

1. See https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/1629 for customizing who can see Pods Admin-related things
2. That is not something built into WordPress or Pods, you’ll want to dig around and see if there’s an action/filter you can use to prevent that sort of thing
