    Hi

I am having some problems with my site only since this morning.

    http://www.moneytipsexperts.co.uk

I can't access it via the normal URL and I can't even get to log in via http://www.moneytipsexperts.co.uk/wp-admin

Nothing loads on either page and I have tried multiple PCs / devices

Problems started when I tried to upgrade wordpresss from 3.4.2 to 3.5 and I got an error message about maintenance mode. I followed a steer from another thread and deleted the maintenance file from my FTP file directory (Go Daddy hosted)

I returned to wordpress dashboard and tried to update plug ins etc. This hasn't worked and not I can't get to my site any way.

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? The maintenance file isn't showing now on the FTP directory.

    Thanks, Ad

Is there any way you can restore the maintenance file you have deleted?

If you can that would then be a good starting point to begin troubleshooting from. I think something is still pointing to the maintenance file and because it cant find is why you are seeingn nothing.

If its gone and cant be restored try copying it from a another WordPress install or from the zip download.

turn off your plugins by renaming your plugin directory

    if that does not work

turn off your individual theme by renaming its directory ..

2010 2011 2012 should all work .. but if you are using a different one rename it.

    this should get you in

then turn on each plugin one at a time.

Thanks guys - I renamed my plug in file in FTP and I can now access the direct URL but can't log into wp-admin

    I get this error message

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove D:\hosting\10067393\html\wp-content\advanced-cache.php.

I changed the file name for the errors that came up. e.g. I change advanced-cache.php to advanced-cacchev1.php

This fixed the error where I couldn't get to my WordPress dashboard via wp-admin

Next problem is that all my plug ins have been deleted and I can't access the Go Daddy FTP file manager.

I can't install new plug ins either as I get this error message:

    Could not create directory. D:/hosting/10067393/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/

    Plugin install failed.

Any ideas what I need to do next please?

  6. Next problem is that all my plug ins have been deleted and I can't access the Go Daddy FTP file manager.

I can't install new plug ins either as I get this error message:

    Could not create directory. D:/hosting/10067393/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/

That's not good. Normally I would say recreate the plugins directory with the FTP client and set the permissions that way.

But you can't do that at the moment... Have you contacted Godaddy? They maybe able to get the access fixed for you.

    Hi!

I don't know that you've talked with support yet, but one of the first things I would recommend is making sure you're on the Linux Operating System and not Windows with your hosting plans. (http://go.me/YR if you need to change.)

One of the reasons I suggest this is that while the site did load for me, it's loading slowly. I show the wp-admin page loading, but if you're receiving the error message after you log in, support will need to review it more in-depth.

If you'd submit a ticket to support with any screenshots and/or error messages, that would help us to troubleshoot for you. Please log into your Go Daddy account and submit a ticket here: http://x.co/heretohelp

You can reply to this thread with your ticket number and I'll be able to access and expedite that for you.
