Hello. I have jus installed WordPress on my site http://www.ilovebloomers.com

I am a complete newbie to WordPress/ websites/ internet and am quite proud that I've got this far!

When I try to view the site and the changes I have made to it, all I have is a blank page saying:

Your hosting package is now ready to use!
All you need to do now is simply create and upload your website files.
    Upload your files using FTP
Use your preferred FTP software to upload your files using the server details provided.
Ensure that you upload your files to the HTDOCS folder
Have you already published your website?
Our interactive video tutorials will help you get your website online.
Have you already attempted to upload a website to your hosting server?
    YES/NO

Can anyone tell me how to answer this question? and what to do next to actually see my page?

I have tried clicking both yes and no but both options give me more options that I don't understand.

    Help!

    How did you install WordPress?

It seems you did not install it in the right location. When you install WordPress, or upload the files, you should upload them to the htdocs directory.

I installed it via my web host: 'Fasthosts'.
I followed the instructions on their site to install WordPress on Linux.

Any ideas how to fix the problem?

You could have a look at Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory.

OK! I've got to no. 6 in the instructions:

'Move your WordPress core files to the new location (WordPress address)'

Can you tell me what that means exactly?! Sorry, I did say I'm new to this!

You should be using the instructions under Using a pre-existing subdirectory install.

    oops.
It seems that instruction no.5 is irreversible. I clicked 'save changes' and now have a screen with my site and can't get back to the control panel/dashboard.

This is what i get when I log in to WordPress:

    http://www.ilovebloomers.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ilovebloomers.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

can't seem to get back to dashboard from this page.

Is there any way of resetting everything and starting again?

Delete all of the WordPress files & folders and empty the database, Then re-install WordPress in your root domain folder (ie do not use a wordpress sub-folder).

How do I do that if I can't even access the dashboard?

You cannot use your WordPress dashboard to delete WordPress. You need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Hi There,

I have a similar problem with my site
    http://www.clarisonicreview.co.uk

I installed via fasthosts "one click wordpress installer".

and am now getting the following error message:

All you need to do now is simply create and upload your website files.
    htdocs folder
    Upload your files using FTP

Use your preferred FTP software to upload your files using the server details provided.

Ensure that you upload your files to the HTDOCS folder
Have you already published your website?

Our interactive video tutorials will help you get your website online.

Have you already attempted to upload a website to your hosting server?

I have checked and don't think I've done the same thing and installed to clarisonicreview.co.uk/wordpress.

Any guidance would be greatly received.

    Thanks!
