   Use Host Gator. Used their auto install. Then uploaded my theme. When I try to view the main page from the page editor (view), it displays the root file listing and no page. What did I do wrong? (I'm no rocket scientist but followed the instructions).

   Try adding DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm to the top of your WordPress .htaccess file.
