   Hi I wonder if some one can help me. I recently install wp 2.6.3 and everything was working fine. I activated the default plug in akismet but obviously it wasn't fully activated as I did not have the key. I uploaded an adittional plug in and theme. Everything was working fine. I could access my blog and my blog admin area. However I then tried to upgrade my wp version to version 2.8.1 but I did not do this automatically. I saved the zip file to my hard drive, unzipped it then upoaded the content to my server via ftp. The I tried to got to this link http://www.gracefullystrong.com/wp-admin/install.php and I was face with this message The URL you requested - http://www.gracefullystrong.com/ was not found.
   Also this message was found in the address bar http://www.desktopsmiley.com/fileNotFound.do?&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gracefullystrong.com%2F&error=500. This is the same error message I get when I try to either view my blog online or try to login to my admin area. Please help.

   you don't run the installer when upgrading
   you run /wp-admin/upgrade.php

   delete the .htaccess in root
   now run the upgrade
   log in
   regenerate permalinks
   admin - settings - permalinks
