Can't upload photos

    I can’t upload any photos to my blog or pages. Media page shows it as a broken image but if you try to edit the picture, the picture shows in edit mode. Try to upload and picture disappears again.

    Have lost a bunch of uploaded pictures but not all.
    Recently switched from Windows-based hosting to Linux.
    Recently downloaded some themes from the web & uploaded them. Was using Adventure Journal (older version than 1.5.1) and when I tried to update versions, it crashed everything & then I had an error message that theme wasn’t properly loaded.

    No idea if any of this is relevant but now Theme page on Dashboard says “Broken Themes The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. Name: _hcc_thumbs Description: Stylesheet is missing.

    Have tried some suggestions on here but nothing is working &it’s driving me crazy. Any help is appreciated!!

    Go to dashboard/settings/media/store uploads in this folder.

    It should be blank or have this wp-content/uploads with no / in front of wp-content.
