[resolved] Can't upload images in ComicPress after updating to WP 3.0.1 (5 posts)

    Hi,

I can't seem to upload images any longer through ComicPress 2.9 after I updated WordPress to 3.0.1 from 3.0.

I previously had no problems uploading files through the ComicPress upload link at the top of the ComicPress dashboard menu.

I've spoken to the developer of ComicPress and he seems to feel the problem is with my update to 3.0.1. He says its a javascript problem, and that the WordPress scripts are not loading. He further suggested that the problem may be permissions related.

He suggested that I update WordPress's core files.

I tried up to use the dashboard/updates menu and clicked "re-install" to automatically re-install WordPress, however the problem still persists after having done that. I still can't upload comic images.

I tried using the QuomicPress (Quick ComicPress) to upload a single image, and was successful, however that image does not display.

I can see that the file is in the comics folder through the "Buld/Edit" area so I know it's on the server....it just won't display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    - increasing the available memory?

    Hi esmi,

Thank you for your response, as it turns out it was an incompatibility with one of my plug-ins. It seems with "Easy Toolbox"(http://easytoolbox.net/) enabled it takes away the "browse" button in the ComicPress theme. Once I disabled it my browse button came back and I was able to upload my comics again.

Thanks alot I really appreciate the help!
