I can't upload images to my wordpress site after upgrading. I have tried the following:
Disabled and re-enabled all plugins.
Tried with different theme.
Changed file permissions of upload folders.
The upload progress bar goes up fast but the image doesn't actually upload to the server.
I have tried with IE, Firefox and Chrome.
Appreciate any help.

chgrp -R nobody uploads , than chmod 775 uploads. I assume your server writes as user nobody, check that.

theplastickid - what was your solution to this? I have the exact same problem - image says it uploads but i end up with a broken image and url.

Its defiantly a file permission issue within your wp-uploads directory.
