• Hi,

I can’t upgrade to JetPack 2.7 from 2.5. The auto update just hangs in downloading mode with the following message:

    Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.2.7.zip…

A similar problem seemed to prevent me from auto-upgrading to WordPress 3.8 (or to JetPack for that matter). So I completed a manual upgrade to WordPress 3.8, which I’m now running. But the JetPack upgrade still ain’t happening.

I need to keep all my old JetPack data (stats and subscribers). Is there a work-around? Thanks!

    Best,
    Bryan

  • Hi,

I have a similar problem. JetPack was installed and running, but simply disappeared during a round of updates (I think) a few weeks ago. Now, I can download the zip file and upload it to my self-hosted site. But alas, it will not install on my site, which is now WordPress 3.8 powered.

Thanks, in advance, for any advice on this!

    Cheers,
    Doug

    Hi Doug,

I did just get this by email:

I would suggest that you also update Jetpack manually, as explained here:

Rest assured, you won’t lose any data in the process: your stats and subscribers are stored on WordPress.com servers and associated to your site URL so they’ll be back under your account as soon as you reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com.

    I’ll try it.
