Can't upgrade to 2.7.1 (3 posts)

    I just installed 2.7 on godday, Windows version - 2.7 seems to work, but when I try to update to 2.7.1 I get a bunch of warnings and it fails to install. Here are the actual errors:

    Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file D:\Hosting\4112251\html/wp-content/1237651097 because Permission denied in D:\Hosting\4112251\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 174

    Warning: fileowner() [function.fileowner]: stat failed for D:\Hosting\4112251\html/wp-content/1237651097 in D:\Hosting\4112251\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 628

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    You will HAVE to switch to a linux server for wordpress to work at godaddy. Godaddy's windows servers are not configured correctly to handle wordpress.

    Try adding this to your wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_TEMP_DIR', ABSPATH .'wp-content/uploads/');
