Can't upgrade any plugins - missing 'Update available' links everywhere! (3 posts)

    Hi,

I have the problem with one of my sites that I cannot upgrade any of my plugins via the plugins management page.

The top 'Update Available' menu link is missing even though some plugins are older versions that need upgrading, and no 'There is a new version of ...' messages are showing for any of the plugins.

the plugins definitely have upgrades available for my version of WordPress 3.2.1, and I am logged in with full admin rights.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour / can suggest a solution?!

    Thanks,
    Natacha

... and even when I search for the plugin that needs an upgrade eg. Nextgen gallery, it shows the plugin details but there is no upgrade or install link shown!

    Super weird...

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
