cant update to new wordpress

    guys,

    i am using this plugin from 2 mnths now and feeling highly satisfied, bu recently when i tried updating my wordpress then it gives me the error and i am sure it is causing because of this plugin, here is the error —- The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.: index.php —

    please help, what to do to update the word press
