• I haven’t done any manual CSS edits or HTML edits to any file. Only in Style.css I added a new line to change the background of the widget color from white to green.

Now today I see the theme has a update, I update it and I go to my main page: http://www.interviewedyou.com

And see all color changes I did are gone! That the theme is not anymore as I made it be.

I smart made a backup and just moments ago restored it.

You are now seeing the edited version the correct theme I want to maintain when upgrading.

Under Visual Effects – Theme selection – I choose the light green theme and made to that certain theme all the oclor changes using

Theme skinning option and all that other stuff.

So how can I update my theme without losing all the color changes I did?

    I have seen this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

bumping as it really gets down the list fast. I apologize if I come over inpatient.

[please don’t bump – a few hours is not a very long time to wait for a response. besides, many helpers here check the threads without responses first, and through bumping, you actually lessen your chance of getting noticed.]

    Appearance – Suffusion Options

In Settings for Suffusions – 3.7.8 (or latest version)
    Back-end Settings – Custom Includes

Enter your CSS in the Custom Styles box and it won’t get overridden with each update.
