I just tried in on my public website, and I can add/delete/edit events just fine, even without the fix.
Can you check your webserver logfiles for errors?
Also, if you're willing to try the trunk version, that contains some other small fixes for things that generated php warnings.
    For the trunk version:

The webserver logfiles register the actions of three dozen network company websites. Without a hint what to look for they are useless.

That seems pretty obvious to me: look in the error logfiles for lines containing php errors, and limit the search to your website basic wordpress url, and to the time you tried it.
If you have direct access: "tail -f" the error logfile and try to update an event, and look for any new lines appearing.

Can't help with that. There's no error log just an http monitor.

Without error logs and anything to go on, it is pretty difficult to debug anything.
You can try to activate debugging in the wordpress config file, maybe that can give you any hints?
And also: maybe mail me an admin account, so I can see for myself.

Edit: and as said: please consider trying the devel version (see my link above)

The trunk version does it. It's working again. Thank you.
