   I access discussion under settings.

   There is Allow people to post comments on new articles

   I uncheck it and hit save.

   Changes saved, yet the Allow people to post comments on new articles is still checked

   How do we make it so comments are not allowed on future posts?

   You will also need to untick "Allow comments" in the Discussion pane on each Edit Post for each of your published Posts. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options and tick "Discussion".

   That has already been done.

   Moving Forward, When I attempt to remove the x from Allow people to post comments on new articles is still checked and click save, it still retains the X.

   Any ideas?
