   I'm having problems using any external posting tools. I've tried Windows Live Writer, Blog writer, and the iPhone WP app. I can't setup my blog on any of them.

   When I try to setup the blog in Live Writer, I get the error message:

   'Server Error. The server reported an error with the following URL:
   http://www.stuartbrownphotography.com.au/blog/xmlrpc.php
   406 Not Acceptable
   You must correct this error before proceeding'

   Running through all the troubleshooting stuff here, I can't find any errors with that file. I have enabled the XML-RPC setting in my Writing settings. As far as I can tell, everything's ok with my blog setup - but I still can't get past this problem.

   Does anyone have any ideas?

   Bump... Still not getting anywhere with this. I contacted support at my host (Bludomain), asking if they had anything on their side that might be stopping outside access to the xmprpc.php file, and they basically told me they don't know anything about WordPress, and they can't help. Brilliant.

   @thatsnotme I tried going to that URL directly, and it seems to be working. What are the exact steps you're taking in Live Writer to try to set things up?
