can't seem to get the facebook posts right (12 posts)

alright, i admit, i'm a big dummy. somehow, in some way, i've changed something on the settings page so that i no longer utilize wordbooker correctly.

ideally, i'd like my facebook user page AND my facebook fan page to post the title (which is linkable), thumbnail, and little blurb of every WP post. for whatever reason, that doesn't happen.

right now, the fan page doesn't automatically post at all.
my personal page DOES post, but it only posts the title (unlinked) and the actual URL link. no blurb, no thumbnail.

the kicker: when i edit one of my posts (and assuming i have the "force republish" checkbox checked in the wordbooker widget on the post page) then everything works PERFECTLY! both pages are updated, and in the fashion i want them to be.

so how do i go back to the heyday of getting them to automatically listen?

    (for reference:
    my site: toonbarn.com
    my personal FB page: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000032546016
    my fan FB page: http://www.facebook.com/ToonBarn

any help? should i switch on the diagnostics to show you what is currently being output? if it makes it any more enticing to help, you're also free to address me as "dummy" :)

Sorry - I didn't see this - the RSS feed seemed to have messed up.

It sounds like by default you're just getting your Status updated and not an actual wall post. Is Default Publish Set?

Turning on Advanced diagnostics should help

Hi Steve, thanks for the response!

    My blog level settings are:

Posts will be published on Facebook belonging to Current Logged in User
    Length of Extract 256
Default Publish Post to Facebook: X
Publish Posts by non Wordbooker users: X
    Post attribute: %title%
    Update Facebook Status: X %title% - %link%

    My user level settings are:
same as blog (for everything that can be set to that)
"as well as" publishing to fan page

I had a post scheduled to publish this morning. Like the others, it posted nothing on the fan page. on the personal page, it posted just the title and the linked URL, no thumbnail or extract. (however, I presume if I edit and force republish the post, all will work properly).

I took a screen grab of (what i think, anyway) are the related advanced diagnostics, here: http://phausenentertainment.com/wordbooker.gif

OK - for comparative sake, I just edited that post (not really changing anything) and selected "force republish" in the WordBooker widget on that post page. The result is that the post published perfectly, both on the fan facebook page and the personal facebook page (the linked title, thumbnail image, extract, and link back to the website)

the wordbooker options on this post page are:

posts published on the facebook page belonging to ToonBarn Rob (You)
AND post to the following fanpage ToonBarn
    X Publish Post to Facebook
X Force Re-Publish Post on edit
    Post attribute line: %title%
    X Facebook Status update: %title% - %link%

As before, I took a screen grab of (what i think, anyway) are the related advanced diagnostics, here: http://phausenentertainment.com/wordbooker2.gif

What version of Wordbooker are you using?

This version fixes a lot of issues with the new way of determining post age - and your diagnostics show a negative age which is one of the bugs it should fix.

Clear down the diagnostics log because it will have a lot of junk in there. It might not work totally correctly until you schedule a post with the new version of the code in place because I changed how things were handled.

OK, all new diagnostics, using the above wordbooker version:
    http://phausenentertainment.com/wordbooker3.gif

and, oddly enough, everything worked as desired! both the regular facebook page and the fan facebook page updated how i wanted! (linked title, extracted blurb, link back, and thumbnail)

...maybe that extra ".05" version you whipped up is the cureall...?
