[resolved] Can't see wp-admin page after simple edit to a plugin file (5 posts)

    Our site: http://bigbeartools.com

I went to Plugins -> Installed plugins -> Ecwid shopping cart, and clicked 'Edit'.

I made a minor change to ecwid-shopping-cart.php but found that after the change, the Ecwid stuff didn't load properly on our site; even worse, I was unable to load wp-admin/ (get blank page).

I used FTP to replace ecwid-shopping-cart.php, but this did not fix the problem!

I've deleted and replaced the entire contents of that plugin, but no help.

I deleted everything in wp-content/cache/ but this didn't help.

I renamed the ecwid-shopping-cart plugin folder so that it wouldn't load at all, but no help.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Have you cleared your browser cache and cookies?

Try renaming the entire plugins folder.

    Hello, thank you for replying!

Renaming plugins to plugins2 worked, I can see the dashboard!

But when I rename the folder back to plugins, I get the blank screen again.

So, should I re-install all of the plugins?

    Thanks again,
    Paul

You can first try re-activating them one by one - there may be a conflict between one or more (and possibly your theme). There's not really a quick/easy way to find these kinds of problems :/ .

Thank you so much... going thru plugins now. I'll mark this topic as resolved.
