I have removed all sidebar widgets from http://www.velotoday.com but still see Recent Post and Archive. I have removed all plugins except for Akismet, Meta Tag Manager and Jetpack. Nothing seems to be working even though them is widget ready.

    Suggestions?

Typically, the theme provides these widgets to fill in the sidebar when you have added none. Add at least one widget and the default ones go away.

I have added the a text widget with some random letters and it still doesn't work.

I did just change back to the twentyten theme and the widget changes appeared.

I am trying to contact the developer but if you happen to have another suggestion please let me know.

Now that you have activated the default theme at least once, revert back to your theme and visit the widgets dashboard and try to add them all back in - look at all the locations on the right (your theme may have a differing set of locations). Also deactivate all plugins to verify they are not the issue.

My bad..I was putting the widgets in the Homepage instead of the Sidebar.

A little misleading but maybe I just don't understand why.

    Anyway, fixed.

    Thanks.
