Can't see "visual" editor and can't add images

    1. When editing an old post or adding a new post, I can work in “text” mode but cannot click over to “visual.” The “visual” tab is still there, but clicking on it does nothing at all.

    2. I cannot add media. I can click the “add media” button and upload a photo to my media section, I can add a caption and position it R/L/center … but I cannot insert the photo into the post. When I click “insert into post” it just takes me back to the post I am editing, but does not add the photo.

    My last post was made before Christmas and I believe there was an automatic update between then and now. I assume that is probably what is causing the glitch, but I haven’t tried to create a new post until this week so I don’t know exactly when it happened. This glitch happens in Firefox, IE, and Chrome browsers.

    I had that happen to me this week.
    I deleted the wp-admin, wp-includes and root files ( except the wp-config.php) and re-uploaded a fresh installation of WordPress.

    I also deleted the .htaccess file and then reset the permalinks to create a new one.
    That did the trick for me.

    Christine, I have the exact same problem carma has/had with my radio station’s site, wfcj.com. The IT guy who set up the site has left the station and I kinda inherited the editing duties from him. However, I’m more a radio guy than an IT guy and all I’ve ever done was edit content.

    I’d love to try your solution, but I’m afraid I need a little more step by step instruction. Would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks!

    Thanks for the advice Christine, but I’m with Rmiller – I’m clueless where to start doing any of that!
