Hi everyone:
Where the text for the body of the main post is entered, I cannot see any text-- if I highlite it shows up, suggesting that the text is showing up white against the white background. This is the ONLY place this happens- it works on all other fields on all other pages, including the title, etc on the same page. None of the buttons for inserting pictures/videos etc work either- that's not a big deal as i can just manually put in the code, but in case that is relevant. Very strange.
Thanks
Should also note that the tabs so select 'visual' or 'html' do not work- nothing happens when i click. 'Visual' appears to be selected, but I can put html code in the box (via copy/paste, and then highlight so i can see it and make sure it is actually there) and it is translating to the pages correctly.

No...but I'm also going through the same thing.
I'm new to this...does anyone know how to contact WordPress directly? I need to be able to edit the text once I copy it into the text field, so I need to be able to see it....

No you can't contact WordPress directly. This forum is where you come for help for self hosted WP blogs.
once I copy it into the text field,
Copy and paste it from what? Because if it's anything besides a plain text editor, it can cause all kinds of problems.

I'm having this same issue right now.
I recently upgraded to Version 3.1.2.
Here is another thread where they seemed to have solved a similar issue but that solution didn't work for me.
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-cant-see-text-when-editing-pages-and-posts-html-editor-disabled?replies=11
It suggested to add a line of code to the config.php file (it didn't say where to place that code; maybe that's what I did wrong).
Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
